Trust the Plan, Not the Mood

Have you been feeling frustrated, anxious, or stressed lately? Are you starting to believe that certain things just won't happen for you, simply because they haven't happened yet?

If so, let me encourage you. Your job is not to trust your mood; your job is to trust God's plan.

Our emotions are real, but they aren't reliable. One moment we're confident, and the next we're doubting everything we prayed for.

I've had many days where my mood dictated my actions. I would wake up feeling discouraged, and instead of sticking to the plan God gave me, I'd retreat. I'd stop applying and stop moving forward because I felt off.

My emotions took the driver's seat, and I let temporary feelings rewrite what God has already promised.

We have to set our intentions on things that are true and aligned with God's word. We must understand that God is not moved by our moods; He's moved by His purpose.

Jeremiah 29:11

"For I know the plans I have for you,

declares the Lord, plans to prosper

you and not to harm you,

plans to give you hope and a future."

God's plan for your life is already in place. He's not trying to figure it out day by day the way we do. He's already written your story.

The process may take longer than you expected. The waiting might stretch you, challenge you, and even frustrate you. But God's plan will never fail you.

The problem is we often want to feel like things are working out in order to believe they are. We want signs, progress, momentum, and something to reassure our emotions.

But faith isn't about feelings. Faith is a decision. Trusting God means choosing to believe He's working, even when your mood says He's not.

Sometimes I've told myself, "Nothing's changing, so maybe I need a new plan." But in reality, it wasn't that the plan failed - it was that my emotions got tired.

I let discouragement cloud my vision. I let impatience speak louder than God's promises. Spiritual maturity means holding on to what God said, even when everything else is silent.

What would your life look like if you trusted God's plan more than your emotions?

When I allow my emotions to take the back seat, there so much more ease and peace in my life. The need to control everything is unnecessary and leads to more stress than it does order.
